Cyprus High School
Class of 1966

Welcome to our 50 yr Reunion!

This website provides a place to enter your own information, contact classmates, upload pictures and answer polls and surveys that may be put on the website from time to time. This site is free and it will keep your information confidential by selecting your own preferences.

If this is your first time on the website go to the "First Time Visitors" page to see what is available and how to sign in.  It is very simple and costs nothing to join.  Signing in does not obligate you to attend the Reunion or make any commitment, but is a great way to communicate with our class members and to get updated as we get closer to our reunion date.

REUNION INFORMATION:

The Reunion will take place at Zermatt Resort in Midway, Utah (http://www.zermattresort.com) on Friday, September 16, 2016.  We will be having a social hour Friday afternoon outside at 5:30 and later dinner will be served in one of their conference center rooms.  On Friday morning there will be a golf event at the scenic Wasatch Golf Course.  Costs and choices will be posted soon.  Further plans will be made for those who won't be golfing.

Reservation can now be made at Zermatt for $129 per night by letting the reservation desk know that you are with the Cyprus High School Class of 1966 reunion.  To preserve your place, we strongly suggest you make reservations as soon as possible.

Plans for Sept. 15 and 17 may also be added if enough want to schedule more activities. If you have an interest in being on the planning committee, please contact us, but at least please spread the word to sign in.

We hope to see you all there.

Maria Joy (Hardcastle) Bitton, 74, of Taylorsville, passed away peacefully Nov 5, 2022, with her family by her side. She was born to the late Neldon Hall and Shirlee LaRae Hardcastle, Aug 14, 1948, in Salt Lake City Utah. Maria spent her early years living in Lark, Midvale, and Kearns Utah with her parents, sisters, and brother. Maria attended Cyprus High School.

Maria was married three times. Her first marriage produced two daughters Shawnee (Brent) Plant and Becky Lewis. Her second marriage added three stepchildren Sherrlyn (Dale) Ballew, Joe Alsop (deceased), and John (Staci) Alsop to her life. Her third marriage brought the gift of five additional stepdaughters Geri (Rick) Savage, Taunie (Wendell) Brock Tracy McDonald, Wendy (Kent) Brown, and Brianna Bitton whom she loved dearly.

Maria was well liked and respected by many. She overcame unimaginable hardships to set an example of strength for her family and friends. She was the first employee with disabilities hired by Deseret Medical (Becton Dickenson) and worked there for 29 years. Maria loved personalized and embroidered towels. She expressed her love by having a towel made for you. The towels were sturdy and enduring, just like her. Maria’s greatest joy in life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Maria is survived by her children, 23 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren, sisters, brother, nieces, nephews, lifelong friend Pat Harvey, special friend Tammi Van Patton, and her cats Noah and Mama. Her family would like to express their gratitude to the members of her neighborhood and religious communities as well as Good Shepherd Hospice.
