In Memory

Kelly Draper

Kelly grew up with us and was a great son, brother, cousin & friend as well as a vibrant member of the Glen Rose class of 1988. His life was tragically cut short on July 30, 1987. He is missed and we want to remember him here by posting the poem that Kathy Glenn wrote in his honor that appeared in the 1988 Rose Petal:

"I remember all the fun times we had
Laughing, crying and even being sad
I remember our childhood days
Running, jumping and doing nothing but play
As we grew older, to another stage,
We both went our separate ways
Later on through the years
I remember crying some tears
We used to run around town
Me and you, never feeling down
I know we've had a lot of fights
But you know that's part of life
You meant so much to me
I know a lot of times you couldn't see
It hurt greatly when you left me alone
I'll never forget the love you have shown
Your love is still in my heart
The memories-I'll never part

I love you, Kathy Glenn

In loving Memory of Kelly David Draper, April 19, 1970- July 30, 1987"

Thanks Daniel, he was the best!!! I will never forget how truly fitting the song at his funeral was..."I did it my way", he really did.
