Geez. I never really had any meaningful contact with Michael in H.S. but I am now very impressed with his bio. One thing I never expected was that .......he was arrested for "inciting a riot". Wow! RIP, Michael.
I will always fondly remember Michael from Davison Avenue Elementary School. We were good friends back in those early days. In my mind, he was "the little professor."
I remember the house he was living in. It was an old two story Victorian home, on a large property, with a giant weeping willow in the backyard. (My impressions from 65 years ago) Michael shared that home with his cousin, Bonnie Ehrenhaus (also Class of '62), as I remember. I had been over his house many times to look at his rock and fossile collections and string wires up to listern to his father's old shortwave radio.
I remember much later in my senior year at MHS, that Michael became heavily involved in the Civil Rights Movement. Hard to imagine that those events of the early '60s would lead to a distinguished lifetime career.
