Richard and I attended Woodfield Road School together.  I remember when we performed a Thanksgiving play with either Ms. Scholomiti or Ms. Morton.  Richard's Mom provided all the "pancake" makeup for those portraying Native Americans.  The biggest irony about Richard was that he lived right next to our elementary school, but was LATE every day!

I remember that play too, Bonnie.  I had to go to the girls' room in my Indian makeup and was so embarrased.  I remember Richard's house right next door, but I didn't know he was always late.  This is the first I'm hearing that he is gone.

If memory serves me well, I do believe his Grandmother ( Who we called Aunt Annie)  was my Grandmother's (Katie Grace Hultz Murphy) sister. That aside, I remember Richard embarassing me to all ends during a fire drill in the stairwell in front of Billy Rhodes at Woodfield Road School. To all my friends, Kathy Hoting, Peggy Cox and Frances Alekel laughed and laughed and never let me forget his comment and my naive answer. I did not know of his passing. But know he will surely be missed.
