Bonnie Lynn Pogue

May 28, 1955 - December 19, 2011

 

Memorial services for Mrs. Bonnie Lynn Pogue, age 56 of Morrison, will be conducted Thursday, December 22, 2011 at 7:00 PM at the chapel of Coffee County Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 22, 2011 from 4:00 until time of services. Mrs. Pogue passed away Monday, December 19, 2011 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. 

A native of Manchester, Tennessee, Mrs. Pogue worked for many years as an administrative clerk at United Regional Medical Center of Manchester. She loved animals and had many special pets. 

She is preceded in death by her mother, Lorene Davis Nunn; one brother, Alfred Nunn; one sister, Betty Nunn Carter; nephews, Bradley Kip Cooley and Teddy Jay Carter; and her sons’ father, Thomas Swearington. 

She is survived by her husband, Michael Pogue of Manchester; two sons: Jason Wade Swearington and his fiancé, Chrystal, of Manchester and Travis Ryan Swearington and his wife Melissa of Manchester; three sisters: Billie Jane Terry and her husband, Gene of Manchester, Peggie West and her husband, Roger of Winchester, and Sandra York of Cullman, Alabama; six grandchildren: Whitney and Baileigh, Alex, Brandon, Trey and Taylor; and special friend, Sherry Parham. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society or ASPCA.
