With the 20 year coming up here is some info on Brian.
After high school Brian attended and graduated from St. Olaf college. He then traveled to Tanzania and taught for 2 years in a school in Old Moshi. Upon returning to the U.S he married his college girlfriend Jennifer Nelson. Brian and Jen resided in Seattle after retuning to the U.S and both were teaching in the Seattle area. The international teaching called them again in 1998 and Brian and Jen were due too depart to the Ivory Coast in August 1998.
Brian died in a hiking accident in Glacier National Park July 15, 1998. He is survived by his wife Jennifer now remarried to a great guy and another math teacher Jon Gompert. His parents Jim and Lana, older brother Mark and younger sister Kari.
