Brent was born May 20, 1971 to Les and Lana (Wytaske) Ennis at mankato. He served in the US Marine Corps from 1989 to 1993. A decorated Golf War veteran, he also had been stationed at Thailand where he worked for the State Department at the American Embassy from 1991 to 1993. He was pursuing an engineering degree at Mankato State University and had been employed for the past three years at All American Foods. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. Burial with military honors was in Glenwood Cemetery in Mankato.
