Ron passed away on June 8, 2018, in Chaffee County, Colorado. After graduating from Mankato East High, Ron worked for Kato Engineering for about 5 years. He then relocated to Breckenridge, Colorado. He lived there for about 15 years. He learned finish carpentry as well as other building skills. He was a skilled downhill skier, as well as mountain biker. He left Colorado for Montana and spent many years in the Claspell area. He continued working as a carpenter until he fell and was injured on the job. He had several other injuries that he never shared with others. He did rehab and did continue finish carpentry work, did ski, and ride his mountain bike. He always had a love for the Rocky Mountains. He was in the process of relocating back to Colorado at the time of his passing.
