Allison K. Matting, age 64 passed away on April 1, 2020, at Waters Edge Assisted Living in Mankato. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on Saturaday June 12, 2021 at Christ the King Church in Mankato.
Allison, daughter of Donald Arthur and Dorothy Jean (Small) Matting, was born on December 28, 1955 in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato East High School in 1974, and graduated from Mankato Commercial College, 1977.
She was a fan of the Beatles and the Monkees. She collected many stuffed animals and her favorite game was Yahtzee. She married Thomas Montgomery on August 6, 1976 and they moved to St. Cloud, MN and had 2 children, later divorced. She worked as a retail clerk at a convenience store. She went to Christ the King Church in Mankato. Every year in September she loved to go to the Pow Wow at Land of Memories Park in west Mankato. She had a black Persian cat named "Lucy" who was so precious to her.
She is survived by her mother; Dorothy (Dottie) Jean Matting of Honolulu, Hawaii, daughter; Angela Montgomery of Minneapolis, MN, son; Joseph Montgomery of Maple Grove, MN. 7 grandchildren; Kalia, Kiara, Tristan, Micah, Natalie, Jaiden, Tre, and friends; Cathy Winkler, Jan Skaar, Nancy Ayinde, Carol Hess, Ruth Daniels.
Allison was preceded in death by her father and grandparents. Her brother Kyle Arthur Matting of Denver Colorado passed away this year, February 6, 2021.
