I remember Danny as being a very intelligent student. He said that he was going to be President of the United States when he grew up. It is so sad that his life was cut short. I know he would have been a great leader.

Danny Porter
Passed away July of 1973

Oh how sad....And I hate putting this in...Lynn sent me a site about Danny and I'm only putting what happened...He was so sweet. And he would say he was going to famous someday.

A mass murderer(Robert Garrow) killed Danny Porter, our class valedictorian, back in July of 1973.Danny and his girlfriend Susan Petz was camping in Weavertown, New York. He killed Danny and held his girlfriend (Susan) for four day's and she tried to excape and he killed her...This guy had killed several...If you want to read about it...

The "official" story about how absolute evil took Danny's life illustrates how time changes details and facts in what actually happened, maybe not time as much as people retelling events much like the child's game of "telephone". Both Danny and Susan were the most beautiful people I have known...Danny being the most intelligent and gentle soul I have ever known...and yet, by far, he was the most humble and "human" soul that has ever touched my life. I often wonder if he had not been taken from us, how would our world be different and better today.

I often recount my many happy memories shared with Danny, and in my old age, Danny's loss and other similar tragic events lead me to believe the darkest evil seems attracted to the greatest good humanity produces. Like a moth attracted to light in the darkness.

As to the discovery of Susan's physical remains...the location was not revealed from the perpetrator's confessions to his legal representatives as they would lead you to believe (I doubt any lawyer can tell the truth) ...rather it was revealed to her grieving parents by a pshycic they visited...there is still a lot of mystery in this life that rational science will never explain...rational, objective thought is myopic and limited to the physical world, unable to make the leap of faith that allows recognition of a world surronding our limited perception.
