Jim ("Fred") was a real character. He was a hell of a baseball pitcher from the time we played Little League together. Had an awesome curveball. I was shocked when I heard he passed away several years ago. I last spoke to him in 1994 when I organized a 20-year reunion with the Manville News celebrating our 1974 Little League championship team (coached by Nick's dad, Mr. Longo). He wanted to come, but had another engagement that night. We reminisced about the old days; talked about "Pino" and Savage and his other buddies. He was always a good guy to joke around with. He always gave me a hard time kiddingly. May he rest in peace.
Jim and I always had some classes together in High School and I remember him to be a friendly funny guy. I wish he was going to be here for this reunion, I'm sure he would have added a lot of laughter.
I spent many great times with Jim and his family! I will never forget the great times we had playing wiffle ball in my backyard with him and Pino. I don't know how I ended up with his ABIS yearbook but I do have it and now cherish it! Jim had a very kind heart and was a great person to be around. I spent many of great times with him and his brother Steve. I will never forget his dog Poco and was always welcome by his family into his home. I'll never forget the day when Jim told me that Thurman Munson died! I didn't believe him! My heart was broken! I was very sad to hear that Jim passed away at such a young age. I now know that he is in a better place and may he rest in peace! Your friend Dave(Chooch the Whooch)

I believe Jimmy passed in the winter of 2001 or 2002. I beleive I worked with his wife but didn't recognize the last name at the time or put two and two together until I read about it in the paper and spoke with neighbrs who new his mother. Hence, I beleive he passed in the winter of 2001 or 2002. I worked with his wife and so I attended Jimmy's wake and did not realize until then who he was. I remember him from ABIS. It would be nice if his wife could post something on this site -- she always had wonderful things to say about him . . .
