Butch is what I'll always remember him by. We had a lot of good times, especially when we were younger. I'll never forget when we went to Showbiz Pizza, now called Chuck E. Cheese's, for his birthday party, I don't remember how old he was but I almost got left behind because I waited in line for the Duck Hunt game for what seemed like forever and never noticed that everybody had walked out the door. Thank god they did a head count. They finally found me inside and I jumped in the van and was showing everyone the last token that I didn't get to spend. Well, that bully Jennifer Stephenson stole it from me and I'll never forget that. I didn't even know her because I was going to school in Mendon at the time. There was another time at Bill Stanley's that Butch and I became blood brothers. I'll never forget that because I thought it was weird to be picking scabs and mixing blood, but I did it because he was my best friend at that time. The last time I got to see Butch was a blessing. I hadn't talked to or seen him in a long time and for some reason ran into him the day before he passed away. He was talking about how he had just been hunting and missed the biggest one he had ever seen. We talked for awhile and made our separate ways, the next day I heard about what had happened and my cousin Josh Jackson and I drove to the crossing in a hurry only to find a mangled mess and many tearful faces, one of which by now was mine. Butch was a different breed to say the least, I've never known anyone who would take as much time as he did to make someone smile. Love you Butch.
