Reunion: Re- again Union – join together
A school mate is another thing they should add to the list for something you can not choose; along with family. I did not wake up one morning and tell my parents that I did not like the school I was going to, so we needed to move or they needed to place me in another school. I was not able to walk into the principle office and tell them that I did not like the grade I was in, so I need to be moved to another. This was the position God place me in and after celebrating 25 years of marriage and a 25 year class reunion; I am so thankful to have all of you in my life.
When looking up the word Reunion I found the following definition:
The act of reuniting.
The state of being reunited.
A gathering of the members of a group who have been separated
The act or process of coming together again
The state or condition of having been brought together again
A gathering of relatives, friends, or former associates
So, at this point you should be saying where’s Dwayne going with this. As I was praying this morning for some reason the Tom Joiner cruise in 2011 or 2012 event pop up. Now I enjoy a good hot shower and a bath, but I have control of that water  . The cruise is a good thought, but it takes away from the reuniting of friends and love ones. We may not like Marianna, but how can you not like what help develop who you are today. That’s almost saying you do not like who you are or you are unpleased with God's plan for your life. My mom and dad love seeing those who I grow up with and seeing you have become men and women of integrity. I love seeing the teacher and coaches when they come out to see us at the class reunion; how their eyes light up and joy in their hearts. I love the intro's and meeting new addition to the class family. The excitement in your voices when you talk about your accomplishments and feeling of your pain when you tell of your bad times. This will not happen on a Tom Joiner cruise. Tom has his own agenda and a memorial service for those who have gone home before us (class of 85) will not be one of his highlighted agenda. I don’t know if I will be here on this earth in 5 years, nor what condition I will be in. But I know as of this day that the Class Reunion should remain in Marianna. I know we spend about $200 to $400; not counting the reunion fee and those who are traveling from a greater distance will spend more. I also know that those who live in Marianna spend $100 to $1000; not counting the reunion fee. We have to add the planning and meeting fees also. But I feel it not enough if a price tag was to be place on it; your lives are more valuable to me than that and seeing you is priceless. If you just want to do a cruise; it would be great if it’s an addition to or separate event. But my vote will always be coming together in Marianna; the root. 
We should also add an offering for the church we are using to our class reunion fee. I know our classmate might be a member and we are allowed to use it for free, but there is a cost involved. We might not be able to pay the full cost, but we can sow something.
