Chad Murray Plant age 33 of Marianna passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014. 

Chad was born on December 8, 1980 in Pensacola, Florida to Gary and Sandy Plant and spent his life growing up in Marianna. He was a graduate of the University of Florida with a degree in Geomatics and had a career as a surveyor. Chad was an avid golfer and a fan of Auburn University Athletics.

He was preceded in death by his infant brother, paternal grandfather Woodrow Plant, paternal grandmother Pete Plant, step grandmother Howellene Plant, maternal grandparents J. Murray King and Dorothy King, and an uncle Jimmy King.

Chad is survived by his parents Gary and Sandy Plant, one daughter Ellie Grace Plant, wife Vickie Lally Plant, brother Justin Plant and his wife Asya, uncle Tim Plant and his wife Vickey, niece Joelie Plant, cousins Elizabeth Plant and Austin Plant. Chad is also survived by a host of family and friends from the Tri States area.

Services for Chad will be held at 2:00 P.M. from the graveside on Sunday, June 22, 2014 in the Andalusia Memorial Cemetery in Andalusia, Al with Rev. Tim Plant officiating.

Serving as Chad’s pallbearers will be Jonathan Swearingen, Hunter Nolen, Garyn Waller, Matt Milton, Mitchell Russ, and Austin Plant and as honorary pallbearer the late Mike Miller.
