Susan Louise Remley Wielitzka

Susan Louise Remley Wielitzka, 80, of Marietta, passed away on March 11, 2025. in Marietta, OH. Susan was born on November 25, 1944 in Marietta, OH.

Susan was a dedicated and active member of the history community, contributing many years of service to The Castle, both as staff and later as a board member. Friendly and fun, she loved taking part in the activities of the Woodchucks, the Antique Club, and spent many happy hours in the company of her classmates from Marietta High School. An avid crafter, she loved to make leatherwork, jewelry, purses, vests and more to give as gifts.

She was happiest surrounded by nature and animals, whether hiking in the woods or working in her garden. She entertained her friends and family often in her beautiful garden, and we will all think back to the many wonderful hours we spent with her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Catherine Barker Remley, and her brother, John Remley.

She is survived by her husband, Klaus; her son Kurt (Jessica), of Marietta, Ohio.

Susan will be cremated and buried in Oak Grove Cemetery; there are currently no plans for a funeral or memorial service.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mid-Ohio Valley Cremation Society.
