Susan Carole Sprague Hesch

January 9, 1945 - March 3, 2025

Susan Carole Hesch, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3, 2025, at the age of 80. She was born on January 9, 1945, in Marietta, to James C. Sprague and Jane Scott Sprague.

Susan had a long career in banking for several financial institutions in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. After she retired, Susan moved back to Marietta. During her retirement, Susan enjoyed spending time with her Marietta High School Classmates at their monthly dinner gatherings. She also found joy collecting Fenton Glassware. From February through November, Susan dedicated her time to another passion of hers, NASCAR. In addition to watching on TV, Susan even managed to attend races in Florida, Delaware, and North Carolina. Susan very much liked adventure. Trips to visit family and friends in Maryland, Georgia, Florida, and Texas are proof of that. And everyone who knew Susan also knew about Fred, her loyal Bassett Hound.

Susan is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Lauri Hesch of Pasadena, MD; and her granddaughters, Allison Claire Hesch and Samantha Grace Hesch.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Marilyn Confoy.
