Kathleen M. Plemel

Kathleen (Kate Brown) Plemel, 59, passed away January 26, 2021 at Aurora Medical Center-Bay Area in Marinette. She was born May 27, 1961 in Marinette to the late William and Phyllis Brown. If you spoke with Kate for even 10 minutes, you quickly learned how proud she was of her entire family and how much she loved them.

She grew up in Marinette, Wisconsin and graduated from Marinette High School in 1979 and then attended University of Wisconsin-Marinette. On December 27, 2003, Kate married William Plemel who she shared so many happy memories of traveling and enjoying music. Kate worked at the Sub Shop in Menominee, the Ford Motor Company in Marinette and then the Auto Credit Center. Kate was an avid reader, loved her cats, Betty, Levi and Bear. She also enjoyed her annual trips to Copper Harbor with her husband, Bill. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and she loved spending time with her grandchildren, nephews and enjoying special dinners at the Berg's Landing.

Kate is survived by her husband of 17 years, Bill Plemel; her sister, RuthAnn Kluetz and brother-in-law, David; her nephew, Joe Kluetz; sister-in-law, Roulynn (Wowie) Brown and nephew, Liam; her step-son, Brian Plemel and daughter-in-law, Michelle Plemel; grandchildren, Paige, Brian Jr., and Hailey Plemel.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Goeff Brown.
Visitation will be at Hansen-Onion-Martell funeral home on Saturday, January 30, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of a memorial service at 3:15 p.m. Deacon Chuck Gervasio will provide a prayer service.
