Adam Tilkens VIEW PROFILE

Adam Tilkens, 31, of Appleton, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, as the result of a work accident.

Adam was born December 5, 1981, in Green Bay, the son of Annette Schmitz Wilkinson, Appleton, and Bruce Tilkens, DePere. He was a graduate of Marinette High School and attended college prior to moving to Grand Chute in 2004 with his high school sweetheart Sara Peterson. They were married June 1, 2007 in Jamaica. Adam was employed with Advance Construction of Green Bay.

Adam's biggest passion in his life was spending time with his two daughters, Ella and Ava and wife Sara. He also had a strong passion for golf and was a very gifted player. He enjoyed hunting, ice fishing and the outdoors. He became very skilled in mechanics and renovations through self teaching and his desire to learn. He was the first to help any friend in need. 

Survivors include Sara, Ella and Ava; his parents, Annette Schmitz Wilkinson and Bruce (Sue) Tilkens; maternal grandparents, Mae and Eugene Schmitz, and paternal grandmother, Geri Tilkens, all of Green Bay; two brothers: Nick Konyn, Green Bay, and Derek Tilkens, DePere; a sister, Kendall Tilkens, DePere; his mother and father-in-law, Muriel and Tom Peterson, Marinette; two sisters-in-law: Sherri (Larry) Peterson and Heather (Hank) Reines, all of Marinette; a brother-in-law, Paul Peterson, Stephenson, MI; and two Godchildren, Braxton Polzin and Emma Williams. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Clayton Tilkens. He is further survived by many very close friends.
