Sally Adams Baker

The past 20 years has really flown by. After graduating from Illinois State University in 1992, I taught 3rd Grade for 7 years at Lewis School in Carbondale. In 2000, I had the opportunity to teach closer to home, so I accepted a job at Lincoln School in Johnston City. While teaching 1st grade at Lincoln School, I attended graduate school at SIU to study reading. After completing my course work in 2002, I became a Reading Specialist for the Johnston City School District. I am currently working at Washington School in Johnston City. I work with kindergarten through 3rd grade students who are struggling readers and I Love It!!

Rick and I have been married for 17 years and have two beautiful daughters. Jacee is 13 years old and Josie is 8 years old. Rick is co-owner of Baker and Sons Plumbing in Marion. We reside on 32 acres east of Johnston City.

When I am not working or spending time with my family, I enjoy traveling with a group of friends from work. Each year we take a "Girls Only Trip." We have vacationed in the Virgin Islands, Las Vegas, Cabo San Lucas, Cancun, Cozumel and Progresso. We really like Mexico (and margaritas on the beach)!!

I have very fond memories of High School and the summer after graduation. Good friends and good times!!
