Randal Ray "Randy" DeKlotz, 55, of Cedar Rapids died Thursday October 6, 2011 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a courageous battle with cancer.

Survivors include his wife, Kristine, two daughters, a grandson, his parents Kenneth and Barbara of Delhi, brother, David of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and a sister Debbie (Dan) Washburn of Marion. He is also survived by his father and mother-in law Mike and Carole Beaton, special friend Wendy Faganel and his beloved Labrador, Rylie. 

Randy was born on August 10, 1956 in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Linn Mar High School in 1974 and from the University of Iowa in 1985. He married Kristine L. Beaton on December 2, 2005 in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Randy worked at Rockwell-Collins and most recently was the sales manager for Maritime Systems. He enjoyed boating at Coralville with family, friends, and was an avid Hawkeye Football fan. Randy loved traveling, especially to the Far East and the Caribbean where he and Kristine would enjoy the island life and scuba diving. Randy was a "Foodie", loved gourmet dining, great wine as well as having a real zest for life.
