Penny Proctor Augustine

After MHS I was a hairdresser for several years. I chose to hang up my shears and earned a BA and MS Special Education. After teaching 5th and 6th grades we decided it was time for another change. We moved to Father Flanagan's Boys and Girls Home in Omaha and were teaching parents for troubled teenage and younger boys. We taught social skills and life skills and did tutoring. After 10 years at Boystown we moved to Ohio. For 9 years we had a group home where we continued to be teaching parents for teenage boys, many of them mentally handicapped. In 2006 we retired to Lake Saint Louis, MO. We love being close to our family. It is nice to finally have an empty nest, but we love it most when our home is filled with our kids and 7 grandchildren, ages 3-13.

Thanks so much to Bev and JoAnn for creating this great website. It has been fun catching up with the last ? years, reminiscing about the memories and seeing the pictures. It was great growing up in the "Father Knows Best" town and time. I remember scooping the loop, the Y, ballgames and after game dances. Do you remember "Teahouse of the August Moon"? What a great time we had. Great friends and all the fun times are my best memories. From this Golden Oldie, "I'll See You In September."
