(This is not part of the obituary: "just a note to let you know that Sharon had not been in good health for years and the main reason she moved back to M-town from the East Coast was becauce of poor health. She attended our 65th class reunion, in a wheelchair. She told me about the Kindle books she had published (on Amazon) under the name of Del Coleman".  ~Karen

Occupation: MEDICAL RECORDS AIDE, Graduated Coe College 1964, attended University of Oregon 1964-66 attended Drake for education classes and taught 7 years.  Decided it wasn't for me and became a travel agent for over 30 years.  Retired for a couple of years then went back to work at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in the medical records department where I mostly file and shred.
"They call me the queen of shredders. It's wonderful work, I don't have to think and if I don't finish the day's work, it will be there the next day".

From Sharon's FB page Aug 2015 - "Just checked Kindle.com and Amazon.com and found my three novels I've published under the name Del Coleman.. They are under the romance section. Hopefully in time they will start selling. But even if they don't, these are the first things I've written that I am not embarrassed that I wrote. I'm about half way through entering a fourth novel and am in the process of trying to recall two others which were destroyed when I had the fire years ago".

"I Have dermatomyositis which is muscle weakness, red rash, scaly skin caused by esophageal cancer. The muscle weakness is the worst. Spent 3 separate weeks in hospitals and 20 days in physical rehab last year. then 6 weeks of chemo and 36 radiation treatments. Cancer had not grown but is still there. Fun part of be...ing totally out of it was taking time to finish 2 novels. Am finishing another two. The two finished are on Kindle.com. and under the name of Del Coleman. Sexy romance. Will be finding out in next two weeks what the new treatment will be. Steroids for the muscle weakness have terrible side affect. I'm losing hair on top. Said muscle weakness was worst (help I've fallen and can't get up) but the itchiness runs neck and neck with it".
