Raymond Jenkins, 53

Fairfield -  Raymond J. Jenkins, 53, and formerly of Marshalltown, died Sunday, Oct. 29, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center, Ottumwa. 

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home, Fairfield, with the Rev. Jim Wotherspoon officiating.  Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.  Visitation will be Tuesday at Raymond Funeral Home, with the family present from 7-8:30 p.m.  Memorials may be directed to the family.

He was born Aug. 20, 1942, in Marshalltown to James M. and Alfreda Rozak Jenkins. He graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1960.  He graduated from Marshalltown Junior College before attending Parsons College.  He moved to Fairfield in 1963.  He married Patricia Kaye Davis May 20, 1975, in Fairfield.  He was deputy county assessor and then Keokuk County Assessor for several Years.  he worked part-time at Short Stop in Fairfield.  He was a member of First Friends Church in Marshalltown.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia of Fairfield; two stepchildren, Ronald White and Rhonda Kaye White, both of Fairfield; two step-grandchildren; his father, James; and aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

Raymond was a classmate at Glick too, and is in the photo of Mrs. Malloy's 6th grade class I've submitted for the reunion...along with Connie Buchwald, who is no longer with us.
