Patricia Clausen, 50
Patricia A. Clausen, 50, Gladbrok, died Friday, Aug. 7 at her home of cancer. Services will be 1:30 P.M. Tuesday at the Peace United church of Christ. The Rev. John Saxton will officiate. Burial will be in Crystal Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Goettsch-Perrin Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 8 p.m. Friends may call at the church Tuesday prior to the service. A memorial fund has been established.
Patricia was born July 15, 1942, in Marshalltown to Myron E. and Irene A. McFarland Stonewall. She graduated from Marshalltown High School, Marshaltown Community College and then the University of Northern Iowa.
On Aug. 15, 1964, she married John B. Clausen and they lived in Gladbrook.She was an assistant cashier at Security Bank in Gladbrook until October 1990, when she retired due to failing health.
She was on the board of directors of the Gladbrook Public Library. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Peace United Church of Christ. She received the Patsy Dunham Award from the Iowa Jaycee-ettes.
Survivors include her husband, John; a son, Matthew, Fort Dodge,; a daughter, Tanya Clausen, Gladbrook; a grandson; a brother, Donald stonewall, Waterloo; and her parents, Myron and Irene Stonewall of Marshalltown. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Services for Patricia A. Clausen, 50 of Gladbrook, were held Tuesday at the Peace United Church of Christ with burial in Crystal Cemetery. Honorary bearers were Dee Lansing, Darlene Hotopp, Lucy DeWitt, Al Rayman, Lynn Reinhard, Rose Russell, and Carolyn Groth. Bearers were David Kuhl, Dan Erbes, John Nus, Randy Stonewall, Todd Stonewall, and Jiggs Stonewall. Groups in attendance were Security Bank and Iowa River Hospice.
