Michael Winter, 47
Michael A. Winter , 47, of 537 N. 3rd St., died at his home Friday, March 2, of complications of cancer. Services will be at Estel-Perrin-Avey chapel at 3:30 this Monday with the Rev. Jim Kledis of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.
Born Nov. 7, 1942, in Marshalltown, he was the son of Vernon and Buena M. Winter. He received his education in the Marshalltown schools, graduating with the Class of 1960.
During the Vietnam War, he served with the U.S. Army. On Feb. 10, 1985, he was married to Tami Vry, and they made their home in Marshalltown. He was employed with Fisher Controls for 29 years.
Mr. Winter was a member of the American Legion and UAW Local 893.
Preceding him in death were his parents. Surviving are his wife, Tami, and two brothers, Dan and Paul Winter, both of Marshalltown.

Services for Michael A. Winter, 47, of Marshalltown, were held Monday afternoon from the Estel-perrin-Avey Funeral Home with the rev. James Kledis of the First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery with military honors by the American Legion. A group in attendance was from Fisher Controls.
Bearers were Dale Whitmore, Gary Vanderly, Merle McCoy, Dennis Schultz, Carl Aschan and Gary Hall. Honorary bearers were Don Hucheson, Darriel Coatney and Shane aschan.
