Cheryl Sink (Fogleman)

Lifelong Morgan County resident, Cheryl Ann (Sink) Fogleman, 76 of Gosport, gained eternal rest at 9:09 pm on Tuesday, December 12th, 2023, at the IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born in Martinsville, Indiana, on Monday, July 28th, 1947.

Cheryl was a member of the graduating class of 1965 from Martinsville High School and had attended Indiana University in Bloomington. In 1972, she began working as a cashier at Kroger in Martinsville, where she dedicated the following thirty years of her life and eventually retiring as a Front-End Manager in 2002.

She was a lifetime member of the Psi Iota Xi Sorority, as well as a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Auxiliary and First Christian Church in Martinsville. She treasured her family and friends and looked forward to her monthly luncheons with high school classmates.

She was known to be extremely compassionate, thoughtful and sensitive, even with animals. A natural ‘people person’, Cheryl had a knack for making others feel loved while bringing joy and laughter to everyone in her company. She loved gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, crafting, crocheting, cross-stitching and above all, spending time with her family.

Her unexpected and sudden passing has left her family and friends heartbroken and clinging to their precious memories. Her legacy of love will be remembered and celebrated by her loving family including her husband, Donald R. “Don” Fogleman of Gosport; whom she married on January 29th, 1977; daughters, Tami (husband, Andy) Dittemore of Martinsville and Sharol Gault of Bloomington; sister, Anita (husband, Vincent) Blundell of Martinsville; brother, Gary Walker; six grandchildren, Holly (husband, Jason) Roach, Lori Dittemore, Christopher (wife, Emily) Dittemore, Stephen Dittemore, Vincent Richard and Cross Roy; and six great grandchildren, Ethan Roach, Eli Roach, Jayde Brill, Korbin Ray, Jocee Dittemore and Colman Dittemore.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Ruth Evelyn (Anderson) White.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, December 17th, 2023, from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm and one hour prior to the funeral service on Monday at Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center in Martinsville. Pastor Doug Burns will conduct a service celebrating Cheryl’s life and legacy on Monday, December 18th, 2023, beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville following the funeral service.
