Martha E. “Marti” Broyer, 64, Martinsville, passed from this life on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2011 at 9:40 p.m. at the Indiana University Health Morgan Hospital in Martinsville.

She was born in Martinsville on April 1, 1947, to the late Ulysses Samuel and Mary Lou (Baker) Amos.

Mrs. Broyer formerly worked for Artesian Bowl, the former Discount Liquor Store and BP Station on Ohio Street, all in Martinsville. She was also a homemaker and she enjoyed bowling, quilting, photography, bird watching, growing plants, decorating for the holidays and playing with her grandchildren.

She was a Martinsville High School graduate with the class of 1965 and a member of the Centennial Christian Church.

She leaves behind her loving family, including her husband, Dan L. Broyer of Martinsville; whom she married June 29th, 1968. Also surviving are her sons, Eric (Niki) Broyer, Martinsville, IN and Tim (Lisa) Broyer, Scottsburg, IN, daughter, Deb Broyer, Indianapolis, IN, sister, Karima Patty Amos, Bloomington, IN, brother, Mike (Connie) Amos, Martinsville, IN and her grandchildren, Dylan, Seth, Loren and Lance Broyer.

Friends are invited to visit Friday, Nov. 4th from 4-8 pm and Saturday, Nov. 5 one hour prior to service at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center, Martinsville. Rev. Steve Moody will officiate a service celebrating her life to begin Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery, Martinsville.
