Obituary for Barbara Jo Moser

Barbara Jo Moser,
79, of Indianapolis, passed away August 25, 2026. She was born January 12, 1947 in Jacksonville, FL, to the late Paul Niles and Georgia (Willan) Baldwin. Barbara was a 1965 graduate of Martinsville High School. She received her bachelor's degree from Ball State University where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority, and earned her master’s degree from Indiana University. Barbara married Max Lee Moser November 2, 1968 and he preceded her in death in 2016 after 47 years of marriage.
Barbara was a teacher at Stonybrook Middle School for 27 years, retiring in 2008. She cherished the friendships she made there, and the time spent with her students. Barbara was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, the Columbia Club, the Indiana Historical Society, and the Indiana Retired Teachers Association.
Visitation will be Monday, August 31, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, September 1, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Shirley Brothers Washington Memorial Chapel, 9606 East Washington Street.
Barbara is survived by her sons, Fritz Moser and Robert Moser; grandson, Max Moser III; sister, Belinda Pietak (Mark); brother, Brian Baldwin; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Joshua Moser.
