Patricia ‘Pat’ Galyan, 62

DEC. 3, 1946—FEB. 2, 2009

BROOKLYN — Patricia “Pat” Galyan, 62, of Brooklyn, died Monday surrounded by her loving family.

Born Dec. 3, 1946, in Martinsville, she was the daughter of Robert and Vina Dillender.

Mrs. Galyan graduated from Martinsville High School in 1965. She married James Galyan July 31, 1965.

She was a member of the Church of Mt. Gilead and was the manager of BJ’s in Mooresville for a number of years.

Survivors include her husband, James Galyan; her mother and stepfather, Vina and Ronnie Myers of Martinsville; one son, Shad Galyan of Mooresville; two daughters, Marilee Hamilton of Clayton and Heather Galyan of Brooklyn; two brothers, Mark Dillender and Doug Dillender, both of Martinsville; two sisters, Connie Windhorst of Lebanon and Robbie Kennedy of Martinsville; and nine grandchildren.

Mrs. Galyan was preceded in death by a brother, Jeff Dillender, and her father, Robert Dillender.

Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park in Martinsville.

Mary Miller (Salyers)

Pat, Sherry, Gloria and I were friends thru high school . I was deeply shocked and saddened by her passing.  I hope one day to meet her again at Jesus ' feet. Mary Salyers

Geri Hillman (Hickey)

Pat was my best friend.  We worked together for a while. Our families camped together for 30 years.  We miss her everyday.  Will see her again someday.
