Lyda May Skaggs, 73, of Martinsville, passed away Monday, August 24, 2020 at Franciscan St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born Tuesday, December 17, 1946 to the late John Haskell and Reba Mae (Phelps) Wilson in Martinsville.
Lyda was a 1965 graduate of Martinsville High School. She loved the outdoors, motorcycle riding, cooking, sewing, and collecting antiques.
She is survived by her husband, Arnold “Bruce” Skaggs; son, William “Todd” Skaggs; daughter, Reba Diane Coffey; brother, John Wilson; sister, Betty Terrell; grandchildren, Wilson Lee Roembke, Caleb Coffey, Payton Coffey.
Preceding her in death are her parents; brothers, Robert “Bob” Wilson, Jackie “Jack” Wilson; sisters, Ruth Eilline Terrell, Helen Ann Wilson, Bonnie Manley.
Services are 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2020 at Costin Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Suter officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to the service Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
