A mother and two children were killed Tuesday morning when their car slid into an oncoming pickup on Indiana 44 near Franklin, about 15 miles south of Indianapolis. Killed at the scene of the 7 a.m. accident were the car's driver, Paula Hoagland, 31, and two children, Tia Hoagland, 8, and Jacob Eirhart, 11, all of Martinsville, Johnson County sheriff's deputies said. The pickup's driver was not seriously injured.

Paula was a great friend and terrific mother she lived for her children and this is a horrible tragedy and she is for sure missed by her family and friends but we know she is with her children that gave her the most joy and pride
