Larry W. Knox, 78, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on May 15, 2025. He graduated from Martinsville High School in 1964. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy from 1967-1970 and was a veteran who served in Vietnam. Upon his honorable discharge from the Navy, he served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 1978-1984.
He worked in construction his entire life, retiring as Construction Superintendent for 3D Pro. One of his favorite pastimes was watching NASCAR. His favorite driver was Chase Elliott.
Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Suzanne "Sudi" Knox; son, Cody Knox, both of Indianapolis; daughters, Marcy Hankins of Martinsville, Kim (Hank) Dietter of New Milford, CT, and Meredith Norville of Indianapolis; sister, Paulette Waltz of Martinsville; brother, Frank Knox of Martinsville; grandchildren, Emily Hankins of Madison, Alex (Maggie) Hankins of Mooresville, Theo and Elizabeth Dietter of New Milford, CT; sister-in-law, Terrie Mahin of Indianapolis; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl Knox and Pauline Lemieux; brother, Carl Knox, Jr; and his beloved Shih Tzus, MacKenzie and Murphy.
There will be no visitation. His immediate family will have private graveside services at Park Cemetery, Greenfield. Arrangements are being handled by Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Greenfield. Donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
