Richard Dildine

Richard Larry Dildine Sr., 69 of Monrovia, went to his heavenly home on Friday, July 10, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Athens, Alabama to the late Lawrence Dildine and Edna (Casteel) Dildine on September 4, 1950. He married Rebecca (Dockery) Dildine in Cloverdale, Indiana on July 20, 1996, she survives.

Upon graduation from high school Richard attended Technical school. Over his career he worked for Mooresville School Corportation, Boiler Master, Inc. in Roachdale, Fite Plumbing, and recently retired from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis. He enjoyed bass fishing, attending fishing tournaments, watching westerns, reading, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Hazelwood Christian Church where he attended with his wife.

Richard is survived by his wife, Rebecca; six children, Richard Dildine Jr., Heather (RH) Wenzel, Rodney (Jamie) Osburn, Jennifer (Shane) Gibson, Kyle (Victoria) Dildine, and Hope Dildine, eight grandchildren, mother, Edna Dildine, siblings, Patsy (David) Gray, Donna (Phil) Campbell, and Teena (Brendan) Peters, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Hazelwood Christian Church, 9947 S. Co. Rd. 0, Clayton, Indiana 46118 with Pastor Tim Gephart officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. You are welcome to visit with the family on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time of service at the church.
