C. Michael Farr, 67

MARTINSVILLE — C. Michael Farr, 67, Martinsville, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at his home from heart failure.

Michael was born to Melvin and Maynelle Farr. He was married to Beverly Ostler Farr for 47-1/2 years. He was father of Beth Ann Barnes and Brian Farr; the grandfather of Andrew Barnes and Kaylynn Barnes; and the great-grandfather of Colton Barnes. His siblings, Nancy Young (Steve) and Mark Farr, survive, as well as his brother-in-law, Ron Ostler.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Beth; siblings, David McFarland, Thomas Farr, Frances Kaye Elliott and Melissa Farr.

Michael graduated from the Martinsville High School in 1969. He had been employed by the Martinsville Police Department as a dispatcher, at Radio Shack and at White Lick Automotive in Mooresville.

Michael loved to make people smile and always introduced himself as "dumb and ugly."

In keeping with Michael's request, there will be no calling or service, and he will be cremated.
