Pamela "Peaches" Hairston, affectionately known, was a wonderful and sweet person. Although she was my cousin, my most memorable moment with her was in 10th grade. We were in Mr.Edwards'Business Ed.class. She was notoriously late daily. She came in class smiling with the most beautiful smile, as always. She never had 2 things that matched! She often had 2 mix matched shoes because she couldn't find the other one or she broke her hill! The same applied for her eyeglasses! One particular day, she was trying to see the board and Toni Geter, and I asked if could use her glasses. We proceeded to the pencil sharpener. Pam looked up and immediately started laughing uncontrollably! (You know she laughed all the time at the least bit of things)There we are standing at the sharpener, pretending that we are sharpening our pencils. By this time, she is in histerics! Mr. Edwards asked, "Pamela, whats so funny?" She didn't want to get us into trouble and tried to stop laughing but failed horribly! Mr.Edwards happened to look at the sharpener. The first thing he said was, "Olivia, I'm surprised at you;Toni, I not suprised at you at all!" We both laughed as usual, and made our way back to our seats with the entire class laughing! Pam was in such rare form that she had to be excused to the bathroom!
Pam was such a naturally beautiful girl! She had the most beautiful smile as well as spirit!
Love and miss you,
Olivia D. Hairston (Cross)
