Donald Lee Eanes, 58, of Martinsville, VA climbed the stairway to Heaven on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Liberty Hospital in Missouri after a long battle against multiple health issues.

Donald was born on March 14, 1961 to the late John M. Eanes and Christine Eanes.  He grew up in Chatham Heights are and graduated in 1979 from Martinsville High School.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents. and his older brother, Michael (Mike) "Possum" Eanes. Donald is survived by a daughter, Megan Eanes Vernon and son-in-law Andrew Vernon; two granddaughters, Arielle Mitchell, and Adelyn Campell; older brother John "Johnny" Eanes of Liberty, Missouri; and many dear friends.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Sunday, April 14, 2019 at McKee-Stone Funeral Home.

The family will receive vistors at the Eanes Family Home, located at 929 Banks Road, Martinsville, VA.

A private ceremony for close friends and family will be held at a later date.
