Thomas A. Bishop
Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Wednesday, July 9th, 2025. Beloved father of Tara Bishop and Thomas C. (Jaime) Bishop; dearest grandfather of Thomas W. Bishop. He is preceded in death by his parents Thomas B. and Marion Bishop (nee Reed), his sister Joan Bishop Larrigan, and Tim R. Bishop. He was a dear uncle, cousin, friend and colleague to many.
Tom was a US Air Force Veteran and later went on to work in law enforcement for 44 years. He served as the Chief of Police for St. Peters Police Department until his retirement in 2013.
Services: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th from 4-8pm and the Service on Wednesday, July 16th at 10am – at Hutchens-Stygar Funeral Home. Interment at Mount Lebanon Cemetery. Tom was a great high school friend and team-mate! He always had a friendly smile on his face and kind words, regardless of the situation. I remember that he was the first of my friends to turn 16 and had frequent use of his parents' car. That gave our circle of friends our "freedom/independence" and marked a major milestone in our lives! We did lots of crazy stuff with that car! May he rest in peace. Rich

I'm so sad to hear of this loss. Tom was one of the sweetest guys I've ever known and I've never forgotten his many kindnesses. And that smile! The world was a better place because of Tom. .
