Obituary (Appeal-Democrat, 03 April 2002):

Gerald "Jerry" I. Bartell, 60, of Olivehurst died April 2, 2002, at his residence.

Born in Austin, Minn., he was a Yuba-Sutter resident for 55 years.

He worked as a security guard and was active in coaching youth sports.

Survivors include three daughters, Julie Bartell, Renee Bartell and Cari Bartell, all of Olivehurst; his father, Melford Bartell of Olivehurst; and a brother, Gail Bartell of Clearfield, Utah.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Chris Bartell and Derek Bartell; and his mother, Hazel Bartell.

Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Services: A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sierra View Mortuary.
