Obituary (Appeal-Democrat -- May 22, 2007):

Ronald "Rusty" Floyd Lowell, 64, of Marysville died May 18, 2007, at Fremont Medical Center.

Born in Fairhope, Ala., he was a longtime Yuba-Sutter resident.

He worked as a store manager for Warren Market, owned and operated Donahue Grocery Distributor and worked for Compton's Market in Woodland.

He was a member of E. Clampus Vitus and a graduate of Chico State University with a civil engineering degree.

Survivors include his wife, Laura Lowell of Marysville; a stepson, Anthony Milliken of Edmonds, Wah.; a brother, Gregory "Tykie" Lowell of Yuba City; a sister, Thoebe McAvoy of Danville; and two grandchildren.

Donations may be made to Fremont-Rideout Hospice, 1260 Williams Way, Yuba City, Ca 95991.

Services: A memorial service is scheduled at 3 p.m. at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St., Yuba City. Pastor David Pummill of Marysville First Christian Church will officiate. A reception will follow at Jack's Tavern, 109 E. 12th Street., Marysville. Inurnment is private.
