Sarah "Becky" Combs of Port Orchard

Aug. 17, 1942 to June 30, 2007

Beloved Mother and Best Friend Sarah Rebecca O'Brien passed away on June 30th, 2007.

"Becky Combs," as she was known most of her life, died naturally after bravely and gracefully living with cancer for nearly 3 years. Becky lived and worked in Bremerton for several years with a brief retirement in Hawaii.

Becky was born to Dorothy Newton (Worcester) and WJ Worcester in N.C. She was later adopted by J. O'Brien when he and Dorothy wed. She was sister to John, William and Anna.

Becky was a loving mother to Jennifer and Kerrie, a devoted therapist for over 30 years, an avid reader, astrologer, published author, educator, and so much more to those who had the honor of knowing and loving her.

Becky was a member of the Unity Church and she worked hard to help people during her life.

Please donate in Becky's honor to Hospice of Kitsap Co., Heifer International, Greenpeace, local humane/animal rescue societies, or your favorite NPO if you wish.

Special Thanks to Hospice of Kitsap Co., so many Doctors, Nurses, Assistants, Friends and Family.

Please join in a moment of silence in a prayer for Peace and Love on Aug. 17th.

WE LOVE YOU MOM and are forever PROUD.

Dear Jennie and Kerrie, I haven't seen your mom since she left for Montana all those years ago, although we spoke once on the phone in 1994. Today she was in my thoughts all day long (maybe because her August 17th birthday is soon, I don't know). On a whim I googled her name and was oh, so shocked and sad to read of her death two years ago. I am so sorry. She was a wonderful dear friend who taught me to laugh more, to be courageous, and to "enjoy the many pleasant hours". And she was sooooooo proud of the two of you. Becky was a gift to us all and she's gone way too son. You are in my prayers. Of course I will be thinking of her on Aug. 17th and will take a special time out to think of both of you and remember Becky with peace and love. Patty Marshall
