Sandy Smith Dockery: I don't know where he went to school before Everett. His dad and brother Rick were both land surveyors. Tom was actually scheduled to work for my husband when he died. When Tom didn't show up we learned that he had gotten ready for work and died in the kithchen before leaving the house. His wife found their 4 year old son Benjamin with his dad. Don't know for sure if this is the correct Tommy Everett, help...

The Tom Everett I knew well and grew up with had an older brother, Rick, and a younger sister, Lisa. He was one of my neighbors,as was Trent Buckner, and my best freinds up until high school. They went to Alnwick 6th,7th, and 8th grade. After we started at EHS, Tom's father Harve moved the family to Alaska for about a year, then came back. We never really got back to being good friends after that. Kind of hard to beleive that out of that group, I am the only one above ground. I am pretty sure I remember his mother calling him Tom Ray when she was calling him for dinner or whatever. If anyone wants or has any more info, contact me at dcooke@knology.net.Danny Woods
I knew Tom since I was 5 years old. His grandparents lived behind my family down on Morganton Road until we moved to Eagleton when I was about 8.Tom was married to an Everett girl named Donna Lane (JACKSON).I still see Donna and Ben when I come to town and there were not many like Rick and Tom.
As long as Ben is alive Tom is still among us .He reminds me a lot of Tom.Tom was found by Ben in front of the TV where he had passed away during the night from heart failure. As far as I know Rick still is in the surveying business and is happily married.Sorry I don't know his wife's name.
