Obituary
Andrew A. “Butch” Oechsner, 58, of N7548 Highway 67, Mayville, died Sunday, Oct. 10, 2004, at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
He was born on Nov. 27, 1945, in Beaver Dam, the son of Andrew W. and Josephine Ehrike Oechsner, Jr.
On Sept. 24, 1966, he married Darlene L. Daniels at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Horicon.
Andrew was a 1964 graduate of Mayville High School.
Together with his family, he farmed in the Town of Williamstown. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. He enjoyed playing poker, deer hunting and sprint car racing. He also enjoyed traveling, the outdoors and especially his family.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene of Mayville; his children, Jeff (Sue) Oechsner of Lomira, Tom (Kelly) Oechsner of Mayville and Andy E. (Missy) Oechsner of Horicon; his mother-in-law, Alvira Daniels of Mayville; his sisters and brothers, Jerome (Mary Ann) Oechsner of Mayville, Marilyn (James) Schinderle of Mayville, Connie (Donald) Pilsner of Horicon, Therese (Donald) Weiss of Mayville, Margaret (John) Oechsner of LeRoy and Joan (Ralph) Muenchow of Horicon; one sister-in-law, Mary Lou Oechsner of Horicon; two brothers-in-law, Jim Oliver of Columbus and Robert (Marge) Daniels of Waupun; two grandchildren, Jacob and Sarah; nieces, nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Francis; one sister, Rose Ann; two brothers-in-law, Carl and Harold; and one nephew, Carl.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2004, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mayville. The Rev. Charles Wester officiated, and burial was at St. Mary Cemetery, Mayville.
Visitation: Visitation was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2004, at Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville, and also from noon until the 1 p.m. Mass on Thursday, Oct. 14, at the church.
Koepsell Funeral Home of Mayville served the family.
