Charlie and I attended the same church, North McComb Baptist most of our teen years. He worked with me on writing an assembly play when we were in the eighth grade. He then proceded to edit, cast (and star in) it, and direct it! All done superbly, of course. (and with exhuberance!) He was great.
Charlie was always fun to be around. Except the time several of us went skinny dipping in the Edgewood pool after baseball practice. Charlie snuck up and took our clothes. He gave them back just before a group arrived to practice for the Azalea Pagent!
