Betty Krieger (Brush) - Class Of 1967

McCOOK, Neb. — Betty Marie Brush, 71, of McCook, passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Neb She was born to Merlin and Betty (Masters) Krieger on June 16, 1949 in McCook. Betty attended school in McCook and graduated from McCook High School in 1967. She was united in marriage to Roger Brush on Aug. 20, 1967. The couple made McCook their home for their 53 years of marriage. Betty worked at McCook Public Schools in the cafeteria for 18 years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, crocheting, and traveling. Betty loved happy hours spent with family and friends. She and Roger cherished the winters that they spent together in Mission, Texas. Betty was preceded in death by her mother and father, Betty and Merlin Krieger. Survivors include her husband, Roger Brush of McCook; son, Tracy (Robin) Brush of Omaha; daughter, Marcie (Bill) Luhman of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Ethan Brush, Evan Brush, and Brianna Luhman; sisters, Linda (Jim) Shaw of Yerington, Nev., and Debbie (Jim) Jenkins of McCook. Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Monday, Dec. 28, 2020, at the Bartley Cemetery with Pastor Clark Bates officiating. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon, Dec. 27, 2020, from 1 - 5 p.m., at Herrmann-Jones Funeral Chapel in McCook. In lieu of flowers, the Nebraska Medicine Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Excellence Fund will receive memorials in Betty’s name.
