Ed Bollerup - Class Of 1968

Dr. Edwin Bollerup, 72, of Nags Head, NC, passed away on December 10, 2022. Ed was the son of Myrna and Kenny Bollerup and he was born and raised in McCook, Nebraska. He graduated from McCook Senior High School in 1968 and attended Nebraska Wesleyan University. After graduating from college, he married Susan McNulty and together they had three daughters. Ed attended medical school at the University of Nebraska, Omaha and entered the U.S. Army. He went on to complete his residency in Pediatrics at Letterman Army Medical Center in San Francisco, California. Ed and his family were then stationed in Killeen, Texas and moved on to Hawaii where Ed completed a fellowship in Neonatology. As an officer in the Army, Ed served many families across the U.S. and Germany as a neonatologist. He ended his military career as a colonel working at Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. Ed then went on to private medical practice in Virginia before retiring and moving with his second wife, Debra, to Nags Head, North Carolina. He loved his retirement years spent fishing and relaxing on the Atlantic Ocean. He passed away peacefully in Flagler Beach, Florida and will be lovingly remembered by his family. He is survived by his wife, Debra, his three daughters, Sara Marshall, Carrie Beresford, and Julie Bollerup, and his five grandchildren, Fiona and Ronan Beresford, Logan and Cooper Marshall, and Landon White.
