KEARNEY -- Krin Gail (Matson) Simeon, 55, died Tuesday (June 10, 2008) at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

She was born Feb. 13, 1953, to Erie and Gail (Phelps) Matson of Culbertson.

On Sept. 17, 1971, she married Joe Simeon. Krin lived on the family farm, then moved to McCook with her mother after the death of her father, where she graduated from high school in 1971.

She was employed at Sears, and then opened Hen & Chicks Day Care which operated for more than 20 years. The day care closed due to health reasons on Oct. 1, 2007.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Erie and Gail Matson; two sisters, LaJonta Vae and Sharron Gae Matson; and two nieces, Gloria Jean McNutt and Teresa McBee.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Simeon; son, Eric Simeon; daughter, Amanda Simeon of Kearney; grandchildren, Connor and Coraleen Clark; and sisters, Karron and husband, Steve McBee, Kae, and husband, Herb McNutt.

Additional survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Sunday, June 15, 2008, 3-6 p.m. at the Countryside Christian Church, 3203 8th Avenue, Kearney.

Funeral Services will be Monday, June 16, 2008, at 10 a.m. at the Countryside Christian Church, with burial at the Kearney Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the family.

Good Shepherd Funeral Home of Omaha is in charge of arrangements.
