05/02/08 09:57 PM #1     Karen Dolinger (Archer) Let's get this thing started, shall we? I saw Arnie Goldsmith at my husbands 30th class of 74 reunion picnic. He looks exactly the same, but with gray hair. He's still just as hyper as he was when he was teaching. Still a cool guy. He was trying to recruit registered Democrats at the party...does that sound like Arnie? Has anyone else heard from or seen teachers from our high school days?

05/05/08 05:43 PM #4     Connie Carey (Lamothe) Several classmates have seen Mr. Olivero over the years. I believe Jeanne, Liz and Terri and I have all seen him. He got into real estate . . . this was some time ago, wonder if he's still in that business. Anyone seen him besides the names I've mentioned? He was really handsome even though we used to laugh at how often he'd check himself out in his mirror during class!

In fact he was the loan officer when Jeanne and I bought our first townhouse together. But that was in 1989 and I haven't seen him since. He looked the same except he was not looking in the mirror to check his hair every two seconds!!! Anyone remember when he left the map of the U.S. down during a test??

06/12/08 12:05 PM #7     Gregg Carter Mrs. Lavey is still teaching History! I saw a couple of kids with "Saxons" shirts, and told them I was at Langley 30 years ago. One of the kids said "Do you know Mrs. Lavey?" and I said "she was my history teacher"... He said "she's my teacher now." All I can say is WOW! Gregg

06/17/08 07:46 AM #8     Lani Schweiker (Shelton) Carolyn Gecan, World Civ teacher, still teaches in Fairfax County and the wild thing is my daughter just graduated from the high school where she teaches. (I think she was about 25 when she taught us!) I also see Mr. Sexton every Christmas as he has a Christmas tree farm and brings his trees to sell in Mclean. He hires Langley students to help out. Once in while I also see Mr. Cook -- they are longtime friends and he also helps out with the tree business. Lani Schweiker Shelton

06/26/08 06:44 PM #9     Dean Reardon Just thought I would drop by and say hello. Looking over the profiles I see a lot of names I remember....sometimes I don't remember the faces though. Sort of amazing...30 years since I graduated! Interesting to see where everyone has moved or what they are doing now. I'll have to visit my sister in Reston and search out some of my old yearbooks. Blast from the past for sure!

06/27/08 12:41 PM #11     Dean Reardon Anyone remember Frau Reeve? I spent 3 1/2 years being call Herr Deter until I jumped to a study hall in my final year. Sadly all I remember of my german is Guten tag and Sehr gut...lol!

06/30/08 07:48 AM #12     Lani Schweiker (Shelton) My mom just cut out a wedding article in the Washington Post to show me because it was about the daughter of Mrs. Martin getting married. Mrs. Martin taught American Civ. Also, a neat coincidence is that Katie Batchelder Radda is a teacher at Herndon High School where my son goes. She has had fun keeping an "eye" on him for me. In fact one of the first days as a freshman she pulled him out of class just to introduce herself. He was a bit worried he was in trouble for something because he didn't know her yet.
