Christy was one of my friends. I only had a few in high school, so it was a big shock to me when I found out that she had passed on. We hung out after high school for a few years. The drive from Charlottesville was short enough that I could easily make the trip up for weekends. She was smart and funny, and she had a great family! She loved music too. I had some friends who were into playing, and even composing. We all hung out together.

The older I get, the more I appreciate this great gift of "life", the hard times included. I'm sorry that Christy didn't make it.
