After graduating from NC State in 1993, I went north (Delaware) to attend law school. After law school (1996), I worked in and around the Philadelphia area for the Pennsylvania courts. It was during this time that I met my future wife, Theresa. I moved back to NC around 1999, and Theresa followed soon after. We wed in 2003. After working for the NC courts for about eight years, it was time to open my own law office. That law office is now in the process of becoming a partnership - Addison & Shoaf; we concentrate in criminal law (federal and state), traffic offenses, dispute resolution (mediation, in particular) and just about anything else that we find interesting.
