Tomie Louis Belcher was born in Salina, Kansas on May 19, 1941 to George H. Belcher and Lavina Lucille Yordy Belcher.   Tom died at his farm home near Brookville of a heart attack on August 9, 2010.

During the summer of 1956 Tom moved to McPherson to attend high school and live with his sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Forest Kelly. In 1964, Tom married Bonnie Roseler of Boulder, Colorado. Two children were born to this union, a son Terry and a daughter Tami.

Tom was an experienced pilot and operated, with his son, a farm and ranch near Brookville, Kansas.

There was no published death notice, obituary, or funeral for Tom. He is buried in the Mulberry Township cemetary in northeast Ellsworth County, KS.
